Dolar AS Turun Setelah Trump Ungkap Sedikit Rencana Hadapi Covid-19

Investing.com - Dolar AS jatuh pada Kamis (12/03) di tengah ekspektasi pemotongan suku bunga lanjutan dari bank sentral AS pasca pidato Presiden AS Donald Trump mengecewakan pasar karena hanya sedikit mengungkap rencana melawan virus covid-19.

Greenback siang ini jatuh sebesar 0,82% di 103,68 per yen, melemah 0,2% di 1,1289 terhadap euro dan turun 0.43% di 0,9347 terhadap franc swiss menurut data Investing.com pukul 13.47 WIB. Sementara itu indeks S&P 500 berjangka anjlok 4,04% di 2,629.50.

Trump Rabu setempat seperti diungkap Reuters Kamis (12/03) mengumumkan larangan bagi para turis dari 26 negara Eropa yang memasuki Amerika Serikat selama sebulan ke depan. Ia meluncurkan langkah-langkah ekonomi untuk melawan virus, tetapi pidatonya dari Kantor Oval di Gedung Putih tidak merinci dengan jelas tindakan-tindakan medis yang akan diambil.

Tren kenaikan terpanjang dalam sejarah bursa saham AS telah berakhir dan aksi jual pasar risiko untuk menutup posisi margin tetap menjaga emas dan obligasi terus menguat.

Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) mengumumkan wabah virus covid-19 sebagai pandemi. Italia juga telah menutup semua toko-toko kecuali supermarket, toko makanan, dan apotek.
