Bukan Kaleng-Kaleng! Rupiah Hari Ini Babak Belur Lawan Dolar AS

Nilai tukar dolar AS perkasa secara global ditopang oleh perbaikan data perekonomian Amerika Serikat. Pada Agustus 2020, indeks manufaktur AS berada di level 56, tertinggi dalam 19 bulan terakhir.

Aktivitas ekoomi yang mulai bergerliat itu menjadi senjata bagi dolar AS untuk melumpuhkan mata uang global, termasuk dolar , euro, poundsterling, dolar Kanada, dan franc. Hampir semua mata uang Asia juga ikut tunduk pada dolar, seperti dolar Taiwan, baht, dolar , won, yen, yuan, dan rupiah.Â

Benar saja, nilai tukar rupiah babak belur ke atas level Rp14.600-an per dolar AS pada perdagangan spot hari ini, Rabu, 2 September 2020. Sampai dengan pukul 09.58 WIB, rupiah terkoreksi sedalam -0,41% ke level Rp14.626 per dolar AS.Â

Level terburuk yang dicapai rupiah sejak pagi tadi berada di angka Rp14.649 per dolar AS. Setali tiga uang, rupiah juga tengah jatuh terhadap dolar Australia (-0,02%), euro (0,31%), dan poundsterling (-0,35%).Â

Sementara itu, di antara mata uang Benua Kuning, rupiah menempati posisi terbawah kedua setelah baht (0,15%). Dengan kata lain, rupiah keok terhadap dolar Honfg Kong (-0,43%), dolar Singapura (-0,36%), dolar Taiwan (-0,34%), yuan (-0,33%), yen (-0,29%), won (-0,24%), dan ringgit (-0,09%).Penulis/Editor: Lestari Ningsih
