Dolar AS Bergerak Naik, Tensi AS-Cina Kembali Tinggi

Investing.com - Amerika Serikat bergerak naik terhadap mata uang utama pada Jumat (22/05) petang akibat meningkatnya ketegangan diplomatik antara Amerika Serikat dan Cina mendukung permintaan safe haven atas greenback.

Menurut laporan yang dilansir Reuters Jumat (22/05) petang, hubungan bilateral antara Cina-AS kembali memburuk karena diterpa berbagai masalah, termasuk perlakuan Cina terhadap bekas koloni yaitu dan respons Cina terhadap pandemi covid-19, yang memicu penghindaran aset berisiko.

Ketegangan geopolitik baru ini juga mendorong yen tetapi memperlemah yuan dan mengguncang dolar dan Selandia Baru.

Mengutip data Investing.com, naik 0,22% ke 99,620 pukul 14.47 WIB. turun 0,22% di 1,0925 dan berkurang 0,16% di 1,2203. melemah 0,15% di 107,45.

Sementara pada penutupan Rabu (20/05) petang, rupiah berakhir menguat 0,41% di 14.710,0 per dolar AS.

Adapun turun 0,53% di 0,6530 dan turun tipis 0,03% di 0,6115.

Meski ditekan kisruh baru AS-Cina soal Hong Kong, yuan masih mendapat beberapa dukungan setelah pengambil kebijakan di Beijing meluncurkan langkah-langkah stimulus baru sesuai ekspektasi sebelumnya.
