Nilai tukar rupiah bergerak positif di pasar spot dan bertengger di posisi Rp14.300 per dolar AS pada Kamis, 18 Maret 2021. Penegasan Sentral AS, The Federal Reserve (The Fed), untuk mempertahankan suku bunga di tingkat rendah dan pemberlian obligasi sebagai katalis ekonomi AS menjadi faktor yang menopang penguatan rupiah.

Dilansir dari RTI, rupiah terapresiasi atas banyak mata uang. Ketika berhadapan dengan dolar AS, rupiah menguat 0,21% ke level Rp14.380 per dolar AS. Beberapa saat sebelumnya, rupiah bahkan menguat hingga ke level terbaiknya di Rp14.354 per dolar AS. Baca Juga: Kamis Manis, Harga Antam (JK:) Melonjak Drastis!

Dua mata uang juga ikut tunduk kepada rupiah, yakni poundsterling (0,32%) dan euro (0,30%). Hanya saja, performa rupiah tidak lebih baik daripada dolar (-0,14%).  Baca Juga: Malang Tak Bisa Ditolak, Untung Tak Bisa Diraih: Remuk Luar Dalam!

Sementara itu, rupiah menempati posisi terbaik keempat Asia setelah won (-0,24%), yuan (-0,09%), dan ringgit (-0,06%). Selebihnya, rupiah menguat terhadap dolar Taiwan (0,33%), dolar (0,32%), yen (0,28%), dolar (0,27%),dan baht (0,15%).
