By Paulo Trevisani

Ralph Lauren Corp. said Thursday it expects currency translations to reduce revenue this fiscal year, after having a negative effect on its fiscal third quarter.

The New York-based apparel supplier said FX "is expected to negatively impact revenue growth by approximately 70 basis points" in fiscal 2022, and by around 400 basis point in the current quarter.

The company also said exchange rates had a negative effect of 150 basis point on revenue growth in the fiscal third quarter, ended in December 2021.

Ralph Lauren Thursday reported revenue of $1.8 billion in the last quarter, up 27% from a year earlier on a reported basis and up 28% in constant currency.
