Since 2000, October is the second-best month on the calendar for AUD/USD, averaging a 0.84% gain.
In those 17 years, there have been five years of declines and 12 gains. In the past decade, it's only the fifth best month but the results are heavily skewed by a nearly 16% drop in 2008 at the height of the financial crisis.
